Went up to the local ski resort, and found my first half dollar ever! Woohoo... not only that but it was a 1967 - yep... I believe these are 80% silver right?

The yellow button looks like it was just a smooth button and painted.
All the rest of the change was just clad.

Can't remember the last half dollar I found.  Back in the 80's I think.

Congrats Zul  Great. They made Kennedys up through 1970. Don't find them much any more except maybe in change.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

The 1967 halves are only 40% silver. The only high content Kennedy half is 1964. Nice find, no matter what.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
