Is it made of iron, brass, copper? It may be a Roman era brooch with the enamel mostly gone. Christian is an expert here on Roman items. Perhaps he can help you.

Yes it is interesting, and once u find out the story behind it, it becomes even more interesting ! Wait and see as you reveal the story behind it , a lot of my more interesting finds started off as junk finds or what I thought were and then after researching and finding out about them they turned into great and interesting finds, that when displayed become great conversation starters !!
