Found another ring. This one is stamped 10K. After 4 years of only finding change and costume jewelry at the beach, I find three rings in one month. So newbies don't give up, finds will come

I agree with the previous poster BE PERSISTENT!!! I have stopped hunting the beach during the day and opted for night and very early morning hunting with a headlight used for caving. I make notes during the day as I walk and sit on the beach enjoying the day as to where the greatest number of people have congregated. I also stopped randomly walking and swinging my detector. I use a serpentine pattern and literally dissect the area from where the people were to the waterline, my quantity of finds and the quality of my finds has greatly improved. Good Luck to all who enjoy this hobby, I think we all share the hope of that BIG find one day.

I'm also very methodical with my sweeps. That first ring I found before joining the group, I found right after someone else detecting told me the beach was oversearched and there was very little there. He walked off randomly sweeping, I went straight towards shore a few feet and found the ring.
