Go Up Go Down

It amazing the slower that you detect the more you find,I still bashing this small park going up and down criss cross and still finding the goodies, and always asking my self "how the hell did I miss that last time"well this evening I dug a small french silver 1913 50centimes,and that was deep ca 8" small wisper of a signal, and I got my reward, its about the size of a dime, second interesting find is some 3rd reich "wehrkraft" badge with a leather rim, the pin is broken off the back, never seen one of them befor so will google that one later,?3.40 and 9.92 old german marks, and the same old copper coins...mikek

Going too fast is the biggest mistake I see newbies and unsuccessful type hunters make.   That and raising the coil at the ends of each sweep.

I will have to say I have slowed down a lot, and really paying attention to each tone.  My Pioneer 505 is only as good as the operator.  I'm learning what it has to say!

Hey! Way to go! That leather trimmed badge is super neat. Silver is always so nice. You're getting down to a lot of good stuff. I'm really going to have to practice what I'm reading in your posts. Congrats on all you found. Sue

Nice finds, and its really hard to say that you "found" everything at a site if you upgrade your machine you will have to go over every site that you ever visited and still goodies will turn up.........Hh  Johnnn

Mike, I'm saying neat only in the sense that you are finding old historical items - get a signal, dig, wonder what it is and then the 'ah ha' - especially if you've never seen one before. I imagine there is a bit of creepiness in finding something that belonged to a bad guy and all that's associated. When I first got married, my husband's family had an old KKK badge that someone had found - repulsive with what it represented, but none the less interesting. It's missing now. I'd rather that you find gold coins myself, but you are accumulating quite a collection with what you unearth. Sue
