Nothing left of the house but a slab and these were right by the front door step just under the grass.

Go Up Go Down

Went out again this morning to the same site found 95 cents mostly pennies, oldest coin a 1941 nickel, also another Pentium chip. This one a Pentium "D" , never heard of it. copyright 2004. Also found a quartz hour meter which I will have to try out. Lots of tools and parts scattered about. One or two more trips to this site and I will have found all the easy stuff, then I will get out the 5" coil and switch over to static all metal mode and start looking for the deeper stuff.  Detecting

That spoon looks kinda like it has the patina of silver. No such luck, I guess?

It came out of the ground like that and when I turned it over the word 'plated' came to light. Maybe next time.

Go Up Go Down

Went back to this site yesterday and found 1 more pentium chip and another $1.50 clad. In case anyone asks a pentium chip has the same signature as a half dollar. A steady 90 on my machine.  Coin finds are getting further and further apart. I think I've found all the easy coins. Next trip I'm switching the discrimination off and start digging the mixed signals looking for jewelry etc.  Detecting

it may help a little if you can catch it right after a little rain  this spot by my house i go every evening i have time is still giving up stuff i just wish they would mow it closer or shorter  so i could get some good swings in  found and old token last night  but i am trying to do the same there as you are  found a few silver pieces after a good rain last time it did in a spot i had went over very thourough before  but i feel like the moisture made the difference because they were really deep 11 12 inches down and in clay  i have a f2  and had been over it twice with my small coil and twice with my big coil  then found two quarters there the day after it rained   got a faint silver signal and boom they they was way down in the hole just as shiny as when they were dropped  . it just takes a little time  alittle more if the grass is taller lol! good luck with jewelry i am sure its out there were your lookin josey
