You know guys we get a lot more post like this then many realize, but most the time a mod will jump in and call BS and the thread will die. This one was left running because Conrad had posted other BS post and we felt he needed to be publicly exposed.

It is upsetting to us when members especially new members start criticizing the way we handle things when they are clueless about what we do everyday to keep this place running. Every mod here has got into debates and put the bulls eye on their back to keep members from arguing between their self

OK. I went back and read the entire thread...I see your all points. I always try to think the best of everyone which at times is a weakness for me. I cant understand why somoene would post bogus finds, I guess to look good? But why would that make them look good? Truthfully, if I put the coil on any one of my detectors over a piece of gold the size of that stupid bracelet..I'm pretty dang sure I'd dig it! haha...someone must not be too bright to think they could get away with a whopper of a tale like that.  It takes all kinds I guess. Hell with it though, I love this hobby and love when I find a gold nugget, or coin, or old toy..the liars be damned they're only fooling themselves. Sorry for putting my two cents in before I had a clear picture of whats going on.  Live and learn I guess.

Hello all....I'm new here, but not to metal detecting, as soon as I opened this thread I knew straight away the item had been lifted from the net. I'm afraid this type of thing happens all the time, that's why I always take a camera with me, and take pictures of my finds in situe.. Cool

No Doubt bro, At the very least, I'll get the pic with my cell phone due to my wife always haveing it in her purse.   If an item doesn't have the obvious wear and tear of being in the ground for a century then you will nearly always see my finger, etc. in the pic unlews it is still in the hole I took it from.
