An old house being updated across the alley from me and a bob cat had removed the top couple of inches of soil/grass. There's a couple tiny diamonds and I don't know what the stone is - maybe cat's eye. I'm at work and used the scanner to get the pix. Sue

Smiley Sue...Definately a nice find! I'm still waiting on my first GOLD! Hard to tell if it's cat's eyes maybe due to scanning it...but looks like a awesome keeper for sure! WTG! <CLAP>

Thanks for the congrats, everyone. 100 ft from home - you just never know. Even with the top soil gone, it was down a couple inches. I feel like it might have been a man's wedding ring.

The scan didn't do much for the stone setting - it's a greyish gold color that blends in well with the ring.

I'd like to find enough to justify that my detector paid for itself so I can shop for a lighter one. I have a Garrett GTI 2000 that I bought when it first came out in the late 90s. Bought it online and I didn't realize it would be so heavy. I'm aware that the weight of a detector is directly related to how much you're finding <grin>. Found a little broken iron roadster toy car in the yard, too, but I can't tally up any value there. Sue

Hello Bavaria Mike!

Glad to see you have come aboard. I'm very curious to seeing some of your finds being in the same area as you are. Maybe we can even do some hunting  together in the future  Wink

Best wishes,

Christian
