It's orange and I call it the Garretts Carrot.
It has different sensitivity modes and is waterproof up to about 10 ft.

I'll post a pic of it tomorrow.

Will do. It has 3 sensitivity settings and the light is pretty bright.
I like the fact that the battery last longer than the older model, plus if I lose it it will chirp and the color will help me find it faster.
My Garrett Carrot is here to stay.
I registered it today for warranty purposes and to make sure it was the real McCoy.

Congrats on the new AT pin pointer, One of the things that is good about it is the Colour, So you won't loose it, I don't know why they are all not made like that.

Besides the improvement done to it it also has a place to attach a spring type cord so you won't lose it.
Those casino card cord should work well on it.
It is louder than the older model and as you said about the color it's easier to spot if you lose it.

How's the sensitivity? Does it pick up on the side of the rod or just the end? Distances???

I just got mine this week as well! Absolutely love it. It picks up a little bit on the sides but mostly at the tip. This think is so awesome. Has made beach-hunting move so much faster for me.
