Go Up Go Down

Spent a beautiful Sunday down at the lake, trying out a park that I've only visited previously by boat.
Had an OUTSTANDING 5hr day. Once again, sooo close to silver but no score...oh well, I'll be back there many times again soon.
Never had to change my GB  Great
Trash was very tolerable Clapp
Can't think of one thing that went wrong today...just an awesome day!! Grin

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Congrats! As a newbie to metal detecting I can't wait to find a 'real' site myself but so far I dig everything just to try to learn what the sounds and readings really mean...plus it's still pretty cool that if my machine beeps there is certainly 'something' there,,, though getting confident enough to skip 'junk' signals will probably cut down on my shovel work...

Try working an area heavily littered with trash and dig everything that gives a consistent signal.
The last place I hunted, I spent a good 25hrs fighting the high trash levels (like every 3 square inches), digging piles of junk.
Learning to switch to all metal to determine depth and size is probably the most valuable thing I've learned so far.
If my Cibola didn't have all metal and ground balance mods, it would be very limited in it's ability to serve me.
I love the machine but it seems to like aluminum more than silver...which leads me to another thread...
