Yes, that's him. I found it playing with the letters of the name at the base of the figurine. I still wonder what was it part of. A letter opener?

Nice finds. The stone looks as though it is a garnet cabochon. Nice ring.

Trying to figure out where they camped and how long they marched is the hard part. Need to find an military historian who can into more depth than I can to try to figure that out.
