Its Not  "Bali" ring.
here some photos of the ring after been cleaned.
its marked 9k also marked with the size of it 61
and has a date 22-12-67.

the way i see it is if the person got the ring in 1967 and lost it with in 5 years of the time he got it,
then the ring was in the water for at least 43 years.enough time in the salty water for the alloy to turn green

Well done mate, That has come up beautiful Great That a terrific find, I can't believe how it has come up,

I dug up a "gold" ring from a yard several years ago.  When I recovered it, it was tinged with a green oxidation.  Don't remember any stamp on it, but I just figured it was probably gold-filled.  Don't know if I still have it or not.

Copper is the only element that can make the Blue or Green cht.   GD is Right.  Silver goes Colbalt Blue.   The copper in you Amalgamated ring was leached out.

i beach hunted a lot after hurricane andrew in south florida, for a couple years i was diving 2-3 times a day, just off the beach, miami, dania, where capone and his people played.  lots of gold came out like it went in, maybe a little darker in color but otherwise intact, but some, like class rings, were all crudded up like these.  the one difference is when i cleaned them they were badly pitted, like a selective copper leaching had taken place.  i melted all those "duds" into a blob and sold at the seybold bldg in miami, and that blob tested 18k+, in spite of the originals being mostly 10-12k.  the selective leaching of the copper increased the overall purity.  but the ones i cleaned did not look like these they were badly corroded, it makes me wonder if yours are attracting a metallic sand, like an encrustation?  some of the stainless steel from sailboats is unbelievable, i once had a blob of local sand going off under the coil, so i saved it, and when it dried the encrustation dropped right off and the shiny stainless screw looked like brand new.....b
