Go Up Go Down

starting at the top, rusty old belt buckle, the 2 long things are harmonica parts (when I find these, I find silver, harmonicas were the MP3 players for a couple hundred years long ago lol.)  right of them is a large bronze something or other, with many small bronze some or others  found near it, no clue what they are. A compact (still smells like a woman =)  and 2 buttons, the top one is brass with a strange coating on the front, the bottom is a silver cover to a butt0n but the rest of it is long gone. Below the compact is a winchester copper thing says "hi-power batteries" on the bottom. right of that is a CK junk thing that probably came off a jacket or purse? And to the right of that is a part of a badge. Bottom row...... I thought that first thing was a molten campfire can, but it was way too heavy to be so I kept it. Got it home and realized it has a loop to hang it from a necklace? and says 925 on it! lmao. Next is a chucky cheese token from 1995, it is made well, maybe we can get our government to get some pointers from chucky cheese on making pennies?  Grin next is a 1945 wheatie, a 1941 merc, a 1945 merc, and whats left of a 1985 canadian penny that I left on electrolysis for over an hour while I talked to my neighbor and forgot about it  Grin  I didnt put in the pics all the lincolns and corroded blobs of zinc pennies I found, but the rest you see is all clad, $3.37 for the day.  By the way, I dont post all the nonsense crap I dig, for those of you new to detecting. I dig ALOT of trash just like you! I save and sort all of it into types of metal and wierd stuff I want to check out later this winter when its freezing and I"m trapped inside dreaming of going detecting. I have buckets full of crap to take to the scrap yard a few times a year   Detecting

Wish I could find a place that paid of like that. Very nice finds. I would go back asap because we always miss something. I save the trash too. Comes in handy to buy batteries with when I sell it.

this town was founded in the 1830's and its very easy digging here. You just have to get creative finding places. Dont think about what it looks like now at that site, think about how it looked 100 or 200 years ago, and where were the people then? The very old and very poor neighborhoods here are some of the best places to hunt. Along with the richer ones along the river where the city grew from.

Old dummy me. I didn't think about the way things WERE, just how they are now. Thanks that made me think of some good places to try.

Good eye on the dangle, you never know what someone will hang around their neck (or dog....)
Looks like very rewarding workout with the MD.  Keep up the great effort!
