It's time since I need the water due to the hot temps out there.
I take a collapsible cup to drink the water since I don't like the tube moutpiece.

Who will know what's in it.
The only problem is keeping it cold.

You are going to need it if you get out! The humidity takes all the energy out of you in a hurry. Hydration packs are THE way to go. Why don't you like the mouthpiece? And how do you use the cup if you do not use the mouthpiece? I like the cups if I do not have the pack. I LOVE mine and do not have a problem with the mouthpiece in the least. It is so quick and easy to take water.

In some parks there are water faucets and I don't like crouch down and drink the water while I get all my feet wet.
My daughter gave me a 2 liter hydration pack for Fathers Day. I went into the bins and found 4 more. 2 of them still have the seals on the mouth pieces.
The newbie I took the last time I went asked me if I was going to take a bath. I guess in a way he was correct since I did take a sweat bath. All he carries is a small water bottle.
I have noticed that he looks completely pooped in a while. I tell him that hydration is the key to survival out there in the heat.
I guess he doesn't have the experience we have.

I met a fellow detectorist at a park and he told me that he was taking his Camel Pak the next time he went beach hunting. I told him that it was the way to go. Water , water everywhere and not a drop to drink. Where have I heard that?

It all depends on the temperature and the availability of water nearby. I met a fellow detectorist who said that he takes his Camel Bak hydration system when he goes beach hunting.
Hydration, hydration, hydration, it's the key to surviving those hot hunting sites.

I use those hydration pack mouth piece that you can remove the sip part and just use the on/off valve to allow the water to just flow through.
