Go Up Go Down

Hi all!
When I came home, I was very upset. For the whole day, I did not make it a worthwhile find, but I was wrong. I found in the pocket a strange thing, and decided to check it. It's a miracle! This was quite a rare coin. See the first "circle." At first glance, nothing interesting, but this coin is worthy. Frankly, I wanted to throw this find. But when I brought it home, I was very surprised. (thanks to Google). This is an anonymous coin of Chersonese Taurian. The obverse of this coin resembles anchor. But this is not quite right, most likely it is the monogram "Ro." That is, the initials of the ruler of Roman IV (1067 - 1071 years BC) This is the last coins of the state "Chersonese Taurian" (the city founded by the ancient Greeks to Heraclean peninsula on the southwest coast of the Crimea.) Failure 4 crusade led to the collapse of the Byzantine Empire in a series of small states and a sharp acceleration of Muslim and nomadic people. In this connection, the city was deserted, and abandoned ...

I wish you luck! Antony///
