newbie's morning at the beach.  just learning.  dug about 25 holes retrieved 23 items. thinking about starting a hardware store...8 nails...5 washers...3 bolts...1 phillips heads drill bit...paper clip...piece of pop can and what looks like a small stone??....2 quarters and a dime.

this is a swimming beach on a private lake....amazed and how much trash we walk on here. i will eventually clean it out.

was having some issues on the dry sand......but i think i have it somewhat figured out now.

heading to the Outer Banks next week for vacation...looking forward to spending quite some time hunting the beach there.

"thinking about starting a hardware store"  ..... welcome to the world of metal detecting.    The good news is that each piece of junk you dig up and properly dispose of is one less piece you have to worry about the next time.   (Plus if you're really serious about making money with your detector, you can save the junk and sell it to the recyclers when you get enough).

Keep pictures of the junk you find and print out a few pictures of the more dangerous pieces.   The pictures might open a few doors for you as a public minded individual working to ensure the safety of others.   (win-win)

You gotta dig the junk to find the good stuff, you just never know! Keep at it, the finds will come, but as we all find out, there is alot of junk in the ground!

yep, it feels good getting the junk out of the ground and disposed of properly....i enjoy the digging.

tried my first underwater detecting tonight....3 pennies and maybe a sterling ring....it says "ster" on the inside and also has mark that is a capital H and a capital E with no space in between(the right side of the H is the left side of the E)..trying to clean it up.

also found the usual bottle caps and a few shotgun shells.

keep digging!

i am searching a sand bar in the lake i live at...everyone anchors their pontoon boats and swims there. last summer i was doing just that and lost my wedding ring Cry(it was only 3 months old)...so that is the main reason i purchased a metal detector. so my goal is to find my ring this summer and then i will definitely continue MDing....absolutely love the hunt!

finally a hobby that gets me outside and i can do alone.

back in the water tomorrow!

keep digging!
another hour and a half in the water tonight...not much just a dime and quarter, another shotgun shell, 2 bottle caps and part of a fishing lure.  takes me some time to get target in scoop...layer of gravel then black clay...clay takes forever to break up and out of my scoop. hard to pinpoint with large coil and zero visibility...i'll get it figured out eventually.

hoping to hit the beach early tomorrow(if i can get up). waiting for my digger to come in so i can try my luck on dry land.

keep digging!

Yep! That's how it works some times.

But if you get use to digging the pull tabs your going to find the Golden Ring.

I don't believe in TID systems.

Computers Lie.

Dig it all and be Rewarded.

Welcome to our home.   Great
