During the same detecting session that produced the coin in my earlier post (a silver florin), I also found a pewter spoon. For some reason someone has (in my opinion) shot two holes in it... The spoon is well & truly dead - see the photos, which I produce as evidence of the crime  :Smiley

Well, you can always attach a handle to it and use it to scoop the meat out of the soup.   Smiley

Now we know why they don't make helmets out of pewter!

Low calory eating tool nowdays, perfect for being on a soup diet?

A perfect object when not having the ability to adjust your sight on your rifle on a piece of paper target. Smiley

Unique? No. Being a gun owner, shooting at anything but paper seems to be more entertaining... especially if it explodes. I am still searching for the pennies I was shooting off of a tree stump.  Grin

Spoons have 2 unique properties which make them perfect targets.
1 that broad round thin metal head which is small but easily visible at a distance cause its shiny.
2 that nifty handle which when wedged in a crack in a fence post, keeps you from having to set it up again after a hit like you do with tin cans.

Neat find, I'd mount it in a frame and hang it on a wall. Honest, I would.  Smiley

Never thought about it like that but its true. The perfect target
