These are the photos of the finds I made this week  at a couple of parks. Also found another silver ring. It has a toadstool  on it. LOL Got kind of bent when it was lost. I'll have a jeweler straighten it for me.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Thanks RR. I wish I could keep it to my self, but it's a city park. I have to share. But it looks like they are not doing as well as I am, or I wouldn't be finding anything.
I was learning the ropes with the Vaquero for awhile,  but I've kind of found a sweet spot on the dials that work well. Learned some nice tips from a guest speaker at the prospectors meeting last evening,  and plan on going to the claims and try them out tomorrow.  Maybe another nugget is in the future. Smiley

Thanks for your cheers Karl.
The weather in January has always been unpredictable, but gets better by spring. We are having warmer than usual weather here,  but are taking advantage of it. New Years day was cold and rainy, but I still managed to get out there. It sometimes takes a lot of testosterone to do get out there, and I know you all have done it as has been proved by your posts.Sunny days are coming soon.

Congratulations on the finds, Dusty Carl!  You're keeping us inspired!

Thanks Arfie. I hope to have all of you well inspired by the time warmer weather conditions come around. I learned something about the ground conditions und er r snow when I lived back east in NY. If there is snow on the ground and there has been a couple of days of sunshine,  the ground under the snow is wet and muddy even though its cold out. When that happens, goto the park with a snow shovel and your detector and try it.
