I use a pouch that has 5 compartments . I use the front pocket for the phone, behind it the finds, behind that one the magnifier, band aids, and emergency toilet paper.
There are 2 small front side pockets that I use to carry the batteries.

I use a hunting vest that has a lot of pockets.  I dont think I've ever filled it up. LOL

I thought about using a vest, but it is so hot here that It would just make it hotter since I wear a long sleeve shirt with a t-shirt under it.
The only problem is that the pouch will pull your pants down if it is not tight enough around your waist or there is too much stuff in the finds pocket. I haven't seen a day with too much in the finds pocket since we hunted an old school and found over 14 bucks in change.

I'm disabled so i never go out on long hunts . And the vest is a breathable material.  So I'm good with it.

I might get me one since the weather is starting to cool down and it will keep me warm if it's chilly out there.

There are some that are insulated also. It's totally up to you . Either way as long as you are having fun that's what counts.

Keeping batteries separated from coins (or other metal) is important.  Years ago on a hunt I dropped a spare 9-volt battery into my pants pocket.  Forgot I had some change in there.  A while later I started feeling a burning feeling on my leg where the pocket was.  Hurriedly pulled out the contents and the battery was hot.  Not quite enough to burn, but enough for me to learn!  It had shorted out on the coins and started heating up.  Quit doing that right away!   Wise
