I figured my last post would be it for the year. The temp was pushing 55 degrees and I had two afternoons at the old farm. Had a blast and picked up quite a few pieces. There were 3 30-06 casings a 308 and a bullet that obviously had not hit anything... an old green bottle with screw cap(cracked and with liquid in it) some old bathroom fixtures(must be brass) and a screw cap with a glass liner which was not broken and a screw cap that was on a piece of wood with a round hole in the top(left side). It's getting really cold now and I think my fun is about over.
Did pick up an 1872 map of the area and found a piece of ground not a mile from my house that showed that 3 buildings used to stand caty cornered from a 1780's inn and stagecoach stop here in the Pocono's. Trying to find the owner to get a shot at it in the spring. Nothing there now except woods.
