You got out and that's what it's all about. Clad will buy batteries for future hunting.
Keep on digging them up.

Great Thanks for the reply Ed, good math skills!  Clapp Never broke it down like that, interesting. I live in an association community in Victorville, Ca. that has a man-made lake. I don't think too many people detect. There was a lot of stuff there. I'll have to wait until October to go back when boating & beach season is over, but it is pretty much in my own backyard. Living out west here, most history started in the mid-1800's, & I would need to travel some to get to those older towns/areas. I kinda envy the folks back east, the area settled earlier, & check out some of the European countries..... really old stuff. Not complaining, but would like to take some detecting vacations is all I'm saying. Hang in Ed, always something surprising under the dirt! Hope you find some real goodies!   Detecting

You near Helendale?

If so I got a deal for you. Route 66 had a bunch of old stagecoach stops. Your right there...  The Mojave river (yeah it's mostly dry) had some old sites along it as well.

Loved your old area when I worked out there at the old Helendale radar test site. You've got tons of great places to search.

Let me know..

I'm jealous!

Where I live, we hardly ever find coins, just relics and stuff like that. Occasional coins are found on my sites, but because they're not "public" places then coinage is limited. Caches are common when found, lot's of outhouses & personal trash dumps.

Public places/sites seem to be a "bit" more fun so to speak.
