I agree with BA funny thing is that I think that I have a coin like the one on the 2nd photo but it's at my parents house 1500Km from where I am

Xavier the second coin is a "mercury" dime.  Technically, the head is the 'goddess of liberty wearing a winged cap', but since it came out at about the same time as FTD (the floral telegraph delivery service) introduced their mercury logo which also had a winged cap, just about everyone knows this coin as a mercury dime.

Thanks for that info BA I have saved it. I think that the coin that I have is from the 1940's, when I go to visit them I will have a look for it. I bought this coin when I was a kid at a shop called Grannies  cupboard in the center of Johannesburg that sold all sorts of things like coins and WW2 stuff.
