Metal detecting for me lately has been like eating a potato chip; you just can't have one. I've been out with the warm weather and hitting parks around town a lot. I still need to work on private property to get some of those really good old coins. I got lucky today though so I thought I'd share a bit of my finds Most of this pictured came from the playground area.
- Oldest penny of the year for me 1951 S (wheatie)
- first (costume jewelry) earring of the year
- first shell casings of the year (here's the scary part on this - I found both of these AT the playground!)
Out here in Utah - we just don't get the old coins like people back east do. So, even getting a Wheatie might not seem like much but it is for some of us.
