Hello Folks,

On my second hunt today, I went to a park where
they took out the tot lot!! I hate loosing a good tot
lot,

The park has the baseball field that is used by The
University of Arkansas at Little Rock. (ULAR)

I guess they did not want people hanging out in the
parking lot. It is a rough part of town.

I thought I would hunt where the tot lot used to be.

The very first target I dug was a wheaty,

I thought,,,, Silver?,,,,,,, NO!!!! Not this time???

I was getting flustered. There were lots of deep pull
tabs that were so deep, it made them sound smooth.
I just have trouble not digging those..... When I was
about to give it up, then out comes a ring!!!

It had some writing inside, but I could not make it out.
When I got home, I confirmed my suspicions,

It is a very light 10k yellow gold ring with a light blue
stone?

But a couple of grams of 10K gold is still a good find.
It made my soreness kind of melt away. Funny how
finding a piece of gold just makes me feel better.. lol

I dug several deep targets. My Compadre was going
deep today,

I got a small hand full of dirty clad, and what looks like
a real old rivet???

I started early this morning..... I had lunch and hunted
again.

But the day ended on a really good note.

Nice finds, thanks for sharing! I haven't found any gold yet...I know i will some day. I'll just keep at it. I've also never found a wheaty. I know when i do I'll be excited. I get excited when i find one in my spare change...This summer I've been pretty serious about detecting. It's funny now every time i get change back at the market or where ever I always check the dates on my change. I find myself eye balling that little container by the register that says take a penny leave a penny or what ever it say's. I'm always wanting to thumb though those pennies for wheaty's...

nice find TD,whats that 14gold rings this year,well done,I only found one gold this year,14k weding ring 3.3g,I only seem to find modern coins down the tot lots over here,whats the secret TD???,I still like the snake ring you found this year,,,man I need to find some more gold before the year is over,congratulations again TD,,,mikek
