Go Up Go Down

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather! Got out a few times weeks past, waiting for the 4th of July gatherings to be over and hit the hot spots!
Found 2 planes on different occasions. One seemed like a crash site, debris in several spots in a 20 foot area, musta got hit by a mower. The cool P40 was buried near a tree at a rest area north of Anoka. Also found a Guatemala 1 quetzal coin in a totlot, along with a bunch of pennies. Even had a little guy and his mom interested in what I was doing. He helped run and dump the junk, I let him keep a dime we discovered, now he wants a metal detector! Just maybe started another Thunter for the future! Great
Still haven't found anything earthshaking, but I'm trying to find some old farmsteads, maybe find that elusive cache! This has got to be the best hobby I've ever tried, I just can't ever seeing growing tired of this! Cheesy
Treasure jug 2009 keeps growing!

Hay Rich,

This is tha best hobby I have ever tried also.
I just love to hear it when people are enjoying
metal detecting. Especially without having to
find tha Lost Dutchman Gold Mine,,,, lol

Hay, I found some bullets kind of like those
you found. The end came off mine, and exposed
the rounded part on tha end.

{alt}

The ones I found are military marking bullets.
They are a kind of sabbot with an orange powder
that marks tha point of impact.

They were made around WW II in Canada.

Just a little foot note thar,

Tabdog

Tabdog,
That's awesome. I wasn't sure what I'd found. The school grounds I'm searching are on an old field, used to be farmland. I kinda thought they might be from a starter gun. One was out in an open space, the other near some pine trees. Thanks for the info!

Rich
