every time there is BAD weather(south Hi wind) some spots on the beach are virgin ground again. if you know where they are they are producing forever.
I was never able to master the MXT. I done over 100 hours with it, but just can't cope with Melbourne mineralized beaches.
I am using the DFX with the 10"DD coil of the MXT. it's a Killer combination.

Yeah that's right, The MXT can handle mineralized where Gold is found very well  compared to most VLF's but being a single frequency machine they don't like saltwater beaches, that's where Duel or multi frequency machines are king., DD Coils are the worst Coil for the MXT on Salty Beaches, this is where the big Concentrics hold their own, At a reduced Gain that big 12" Concentric will have you digging very deep holes, and it ID's Iron and Bottle caps better than a DD, for Hot Ground I have a 14x10 DD which is lighter than the factory 10" DD +/- a few grams but it adds 2 or 3 inches and covers a lot more ground, But on the Beach a Concentric is the only way to go On the MXT.

Single frequency machines are the worst option for the beach.
