Found the metal parts from a kerosene lamp!
Then I found this metal tube.  I thought it was a cartridge of some sort.  When I cleaned the bottom, I found the inscription:
"AVON, distributor, New York, pink tinge"  LOL, antique lipstick!!!

This yard sure has a variety!

Many folk do not think of doing their own yard or even think what was there in the area , maybe 500 years ago, I did my own yard , where I did live for 10 years, and never did get it all, it always produced something,  Tnx  Wise Wise Wise Wise Detecting Wise Detecting Wise

Somethings better than nothing, found the same kind of old oil lamp pieces at the old 1800's sight in the woods Ive been digging for a while know. "Keep digging, you never know whats in that dirt!"
        Good Luck!
I know exactly what your saying about you never get it all. I put in a lot of hours going over the same wooded area around the old property for over a year know, last summer I was leaving empty handed putting 5-7 hours in the hunt on a weekend, and after the winter, Im pulling stuff up right and left over the same spots, even coins.
