This medal says " Orthography " a star above and below the word. About the size of a nickel.
I know what the word means but don't have a clue why it exist on this medal? Please HELP?
Another strange find in our area.

Orthography is the art of writing words with the proper letters, according to accepted usage; correct spelling etc. Maybe a English or spelling bee award???
