my first time out
I put my detector together the night before when it arrived. I couldn't wait to try it out the next day, and this is what I found.  The ring is mine, I didn't know it was in my yard!
as well as 2 pennies, 1 of which is a wheat Smiley

Nice finds. I'm glad that you recovered your lost ring  Cheesy. Now, I don't think that you have realized that you also found two wheat pennies. Those are good pennies to find because they are old and some have key dates that make them more valuable. Also, finding them in a location maybe indicative that there are more old coins there. If I were you, I would detect my backyard very careful and try into any possible section. In fact, I'd dig every signal from the machine. You never know what is down there. You see I have detected my backyard with each one of my machines and have come out with nothing each time. But you found good stuff in your first hunt. Keep going, you are doing well! Detecting

Congrats on getting out and making some finds.  Really good to see you hit a ring.  Thanks for sharing.
Heck...if you didn't realize you lost the ring out there wonder what else you will find. Grin
