Go Up Go Down

Well, I don't have the camera yet, but on my 1st hunt for a friends engagement ring I found 5 clad pennies dated 1972, 1974, 1976 & one I can't read... Lots of alum foil,(the ball is getting bigger) 6 bud caps and a few old bolts.  I will have to say the first penny really had me hooked.  I will be going back in about a week when I'm off again to re-start the search.

When I got back today UPS delivered my Garrett pin pointer...I am one happy person.   I can't wait till tomorrow morning to try it out.

Thanks for all your support!

SharenH

HI Sharen, hope you find your friend's ring. It's always amazing what all is down there in the dirt. Hope you like the pin pointer. I've never used one. . . . . psst, Santa  Smiley Sue

Thank you Sue...  And I just came in from the back yard... Tried out the pin-pointer.  This is great. Saves a lot on dirt under the finger nails.  Hope Santa reads this.  Much luck to you, and yes, I hope we find her ring.

Thank you... I hope to have more finds, going to Tampa this weekend to help the oldest move.  She said there are some places around her new place we can both hunt.

Hi Sharen!  I think I was hooked by my 1st penny, too.  Wait 'til you find your first bit of jewelry - that's when the bug really got me.  I especially love finding jewelry that's in good enough condition to wear!  Last week I found a lovely heart-shaped pendant with a blue topaz stone in it, inscribed with the letter "J."  I've had fun wearing it at work, dreaming of where I'll go treasure hunting next weekend... :Smiley

Thanks BackAtcha...

I'm hoping this weekend after packing up my oldest I can hunt around her condo complex.  Young students there, who knows... I'm sure I will at least add to my alum ball...
