Maybe it was worn as a necklace? I dug up an old large cent last year with a hole directly through the date   Angry

Thank you. I like yours too. Those dimes are fun to find. They keep your heart pumping and your coil swinging!  Detecting

If it got burned incidentally, like in a campfire, it has somehow a special value as it is of course a great conversation piece. I mean, wouldn't it be a great addition to a coin collection? Like, here is my burned Liberty Seated dime found . . .   Smiley

Yes have to agree with you there I had a Coke can that my dad and I shot to pieces I placed it on a mantle piece above the door and sure enough everybody that came to the house wanted to know the story about that stupid can  Grin now had I placed a Gold bar up there no one would have even looked at it thinking that it's plastic.

That's right mate! People tend to have a special interest for the bizarre and unexplicable. How many times are we going to find such a rare piece?  Wink I recently passed by a small hallway leading to offices in a university in Chicago. They have artwork from high school students on the walls. The one art piece that caught my attention was made out of trash! I thought what a creative way of recycling discarded stuff. I bet you money that people would pay premium for that piece. Should we do the same with our found trash? I think there is a market for everything.  Teach Actually, I'm working on a piece made out of my trash. I'll showcase it when finished. Pretty sure my friends will be greatly amused by it.   Cheesy
