Ah I hadn't thought of a brake actuator. When I noticed the second inlet I was thinking fuel filter possibly. I ran onto an imperial brass co that has been in Chicago since 1905. I couldn't find anything related to that beastie with a quick look though.

Cool finds.  I think the license plate in the condition that it is in will still look great on the wall.  I see items like that in restaurants and bars and wonder where they find such cool historic Americana.
