I'll bet you're not hunting in the US.  I went to England and found items as you described. A whole different world.
Greenies, Roman coins and remnants of Renaissance jewelry. Not exactly Indian heads or V nickles. Thanks for sharing.

I'll bet they weren't found state side.
Your finds are to be envied. Thank you for showing us what can be.
A couple of years ago I went on a MD tour in England and found Hammered silver, Roman and 1600s coins,
along with a lot of greenies and buttons.
I long to return .

In 2013 we were based in Hunstanton England . Our finds were amazing compared to what we find usually find in the states.
My oldest find here was an 1787 Massachusetts coin. Massachusestts is a state and states minted their own coins before minting was centralized.
By comparison, my oldest find in England  was Roman coins, a bit older then my 1787 coin.
Our laws here restrict where we can hunt.NO hunting in national parks so many battle Civil war sites are off limits. So many items rusting away. Swords, buckles, guns and minnie balls, just to name a few items, that will never see the light of day again.
Your metal detecting laws are MUCH more hunter friendly and makes more sense, than ours.
