Found some gold with a friend Saturday doing some crevacing on bedrock. Going out Tuesday again a little further upstream. Hoping to find some bigger stuff. Ground getting harder to dig in.. Might be last time till February.

Thanks for the kind words RR. I'll probably spend the next couple of months detecting as long as the weather holds up and the ground doesn't get too hard. No snow here in winter, but it can go down to freezing. I know a lot of you guys are digging out snow blowers in the northerly countries so just think in your head that spring is just 14 Saturdays way. You guys south of the equator, get digging so the rest of us can sit around our Christmas trees and look at pictures of all the treasures you have found.

Very nice. One day I hope to do a bit of panning. The only area I know of in Louisiana is on private land, but may try some other spots close to home. Never know, he he. Knight

Welcome to the forum mudsguide. Here is a link to where you might find some gold in Louisiana. Hope you are near enough to it. Gold is in small quantities there and small in size. Best of luck to you.
