The MXT was the one that I was considering in buying before I left California. However, I was researching something a little more useful in finding gold (in the foothills/mother lode areas) as lived only about 5 miles from the original 'gold rush' of 1849. I'm glad I waited since my needs changed. The only problem is that I should have bought the DFX prior to leaving the US as the costs increase in europe due to the VAT (about 19%). Coloma Gold

CG, you will find DFX 300 will go alot deeper than the standard one because of the 300 coil,
but the only differance is the coil and the paint job so get ready to bulk up,
The 300 series were limited Editions and I have one of the MXT 300s and I have a soft spot
for it, I also have the MXT Pro and that 300 coil goes very deep when you get the hang of it
you'll be in for a shock,

weldone on the finds,

AU

Thanks RR,

Any suggestions on programs or other tricks that you've discovered with it's use.. I didn't know it was a limited edition. I've never used the DD 6X10 that I've ordered.. Thought I would expand my knowledge and experience into different areas (types of equipment). If you have used one, can you give me some of your thoughts... Again, I am recently retired (last year) and prior to that I did not have the time to really learn about the XLT or it's use . I want to learn about the DFX and now have the time so any knowledge would be appreciated. Coloma Gold
