Hi Luc

I found that this topic had been locked hence no one could answer you. Sorry I cant help you identify your finds but very interesting they are. I was wondering is it was not some sort of military dress?

the idea is that your piece of copper could have come off some sort of copper ware like this. If you place your piece next to a ruler we will be able to see what the size is, making it easier to try and find something that would fit size and description.

Hi Xavier
Xavier actually, you're right, with information about the size it is easier to get away with a more realistic view of the objects. Great

Shocked wow that's a lot smaller than what I had in mind. I will keep looking to see if I can find something with the same type of design and size.

I think that if we can find out a bit more about the pattern on the bottom bit in the photo that it would help to identify it. For starters I would like to know what is the significance of that pattern and by who was it made for example viking's. The thing about this is that it's probably one of a kind, but we could possibly identify the maker from the design on it.

Thanks ArfieBoy for your comments

Xavier thanks for your help.

To help you in your research you need to know a little more about this castle
Here is a link that traces its history:

Thanks for the link. I see now that the search is not limited to a few 100 years but rather a few 1000 years, it has now become even more important to find the origin of the pattern if we want to know more about it.
