Go Up Go Down

I got up this morning at hit up a tot lot and part of a field, I found this decent size cross that fooled me big time I
thought I had big silver with stones.  No no! It was bent when I found it I broke in my truck trying to straighten it, oh well.  Huh?
I found these wings, my third referee's coin, 2nd Namco token, a dollar coin, 1957 wheatie and my third coin from the U. K., 1992 New Pence. Cool
Off to work,
Wolfy

I don't know what the C & R stand for I was hoping someone could tell me.  Teach Your question about the coin,
I have found about 20 recent dollar coins they all registered 25 cents or 83-85 on the VDI.  Lips Sealed
Thanks for the reply,
Wolfy

This is why the experienced detector users will tell you not to use VDI. I'm beating a dead horse here but I'll say it anyway. A small gold ring on VDI appears the same as a pull tab or pop top. Need I say more?

How many have you missed?

Yep , Hunting by the Numbers leaves me the goodies.

Telling folks what shows up at what VDI is worthless info.

All VDI numbers are Machine specific.

Dig it all and find it all.

If any of my machines had a VDI , I would ignore them.

 Great

Good man, LeRoy. Even though you bend and stoop a whole lot more, you get the goodies that others miss. It also helps to keep you fit. So does running away from all the pretty girls who want your gold and silver jewelry. Problems, eh?

Sure its easy to look at the screen and say well thats junk and walk away. It happened a couple weeks ago. Earlier that week I had dug a silver rosie at this spot. My oldest son was with me and I swept the coil over the spot and the VDI showed a minus. He dug it and up came another silver rosie. I got him using my other machine a Beachhunter ID. It has no screen just different sound for coins and gold (well pop tabs) and 3 lights. I wanted him to get used to digging everything. I was told that if you get sick of digging tabs then only dig the first 25 of the signal it uses for that item. I wont stop at 25 what if its the 26th one thats the gold?
