Here is some of your text and blown up pics;

maybe some of our US members can help with these as I know they are both from there.. the first item is a .22 cal "blue jacket 1.1/2 " revolver that some one pounded the crap out of so it doesn't work anymore it was patented ...May 27...78 now I dont know if that is 1878 or 1978.........it was in good condition.
The other item was found inside the farmhouse as it was being demolished and I know you are JUST going to go ga ga when you eventually see it.......it is a $10 gold coin 1893 in almost perfect condition this would have been a tremendous loss back then OR was it part of a cache that went unoticed......to late now as we only got to know about it after the damage was done "no mint mark".

Hi all,
I am now able to read your questions, so the story re the gold coin is this, my neighbour owns a golf course " best kind to have", he and I get on very well, what I did not know was he had purchased this old farm next to the course for future expansion, what he did not know was that I am a detectorist,cut the story short when I found out he owned it I asked for permission to hunt it to that request he gave his blessing "knock yourself out" he says.
He then told me the reasons for taking down the farm house and during the demolition process the gold coin came out from under the floor boards so this coin is "Not" detected the gun was found in the barn on a ledge but has been badly damaged, also there was a small box of quarters "silver" found in the house photo when I get back to Canada.
I am currently here in London England to visit my mother, I will also try to do some detecting while here and hopefully get ba few goodies.
The interst in these finds is as I expected so I will post them again in other locations for the group to see.
I really want to get going on the farm as there are already truck loads of "fill" arriving more on that later.
HH  Johnnn

Hello John . A great story and what a opportunity you had . I hope you spent enough time to really search the entire area , if not "Go Back" !!!!!!   I hope the farm will not get messed up by Backhoes ? Let us know if you go back , I have a feeling there is much more to be found on that property !!
HH....Regards.....Eugene
