From the land of the Bluenose.....one of our heroes came home and the Bluenoser was there.  Notice the alert bouy in blue on the right.

Was great to see a Canadian let alone a Nova Scotian win a medal at the Olympics!

Got up today and found that Otto had a limp like I do so off to Corbin's Automotive!  Wonder how many pennies I'll have to dig to repair me son?

Did still take him out  before his doctor's appointment and landed in a field.  First sight was this me son.  Think it gives new meaning to a child seat.  Imagine the father must have thought this was a good spot for his son to hang out!
{alt}
Freedom  3 Plus sounded tired but did the dew as the heat continued to rise forcing this bouy aquatic in a few wet spots.

Anyway a quota of 55 coins was had @ $12.48 and that was that.

Got a few other dewies, small silver earring and still in the "cutlery mode."

Cool Finds there.

Funny how Olympians are supposed to be Amatures not doing the sport for money and all.

And then our IRS turns around and Charges them Taxes for the Value of the Medals they Win!   LOL

That's so 20th century  Smiley   The rules banning "professionals" were changed prior to the 1992 Olympics.

Homefire, they don't tax the value of the medal.  Each athlete that wins a medal gets a bonus from their government's Olympic committee, and that is what's taxed.  Here is a snopes link -

Go Up Go Down

Had the Olympic torch go right outside my window, with a change over to next torch bearer, was nice to see. Then had Andy Murray get his Gold for tennis, and in honour of him the Royal mail painted a post box gold, as well as make a stamp. Same for other Olympians.

The shops ran out of local postcards, which were then posted with a Andy Murray stamp at the Golden postbox whilst they had photo taken whilst doing so. 2 weeks solid day and evening of happy photographers. I liked the idea but , could i get my usual parking spaces  Cry Smiley

The lad did good.

A buddy of mine actually owns one of the 2002 Olympic torches. They're pretty big. Nice collectible item too.

I think I'll stick with just dirt-digging though. Maybe one day I'll find me one of those old Mormon gold coins.  Grin
