Being that very few are inn existence it is just easier for some to glance and say nope it's not real than to thoroughly check it out. Or in other cases dealers kind of assume well if it's that rare then how did this person come up with one....therefore they must have a fake. 'It has happened before and sometimes people had to take their coin around to a couple of people before the truth came out.

I would ask a Numismatic Company instead of some local coin dealer. You can never trust the 'dealers' of coins as much as you can the Certified Pro's.

Yeah-you have to take it to some real expert. Could have been some unscrupulous dealer wanting to buy it really cheap.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I am getting late on replying to this post. I took my penny to a professional in toronto. He picked it up, look for a few seconds and said "There's NO dot"
Well, you can imagine what I wanted to tell him <LOL>
I haven't had anyone look at it yet....I'm sitting this one out for a bit!
