Oh yeah baby!

Wife is out of town and had my parents watch the kids... got out for a nice long hunt today.

First silver of 2012 and it is my first SEATED!!!! It is an 1887 seated dime. It is both my oldest coin and silver I have found yet. I have not found a barber yet, and when I first saw it in the hole I though oh yeah! my first barber. Then I cleaned it off some and saw the seated and about crapped Smiley It is really worn and tarnished, but no matter. I remember last year getting excited at clad Smiley

I got this at the place I found the 1900 indian last week. Just about 20' from it! Old farm house. Yard is grown up so hunting is pretty slow and hard.

I also found this chines coin in the yard. Any idea on age?

Sacajawea dollar was from a park. First one of those for me.

Also got 4 wheaties for the day, and a large gold plated ring.

Chinese coins are hard to date i beieve unless of course you read chinese, your best bet would be to go to your local chinese take out. just a point of interest it is now illegal to export chinese currency from china as they are considered antiquities unlike most western countries they never take their coins out of circulation, it's also considered very good luck to find one some can be extremely old rare and valuable. hope that helps

Yowser!  Shocked
A seated dime is a wonderful thing to behold.  One of these days I hope to find one.
Thanks for the pictures and the story.  HH Robroy59
