sounds like i need a bucket Idea....i started with a 1 gallon crock. i will work up to the bucket.

thanks for giving me something to shoot for.

i haven't searched on land yet(only beaches so far)...any advise on a good digging tool?

As with most tool questions, this has been the subject of LOTS of debate here.   A whole lot depends upon the type of soil you have.   If you use the search functionality to look for "digger" or "digging tool", you'll get lots of hits.   Here are two of the better strings :

My personal favorite for most soils is made by Ames and is available (cheap) at Lowes and a few other places.  It is similar to the Lesche which is another perrenial favorite.
