The DM bring more on Fleabay than you?ll get from the bank Mike  Grin
Still, it was better than nothing. I wanted out today, but due to the rain I couldn?t, the mud would have stuck to my boots and with my knee ops from a while back that?s still a NO NO  Cry
So, tomorrows out too probably  Undecided

That ring doesn't look bad in the photo - neat that you found a Polish coin after being asked. Nice fix  Smiley  Sue

here are the DMs from the last few hunts ray,I have now got the hang of the minelab xterra 305 when it comes to nickel coins, pull tabs register "most" at 16,and as for the Dmarks, its allways 12 for some reason, except for the 50pfennig that registers 99% at 8.As for ebay they dont go for much, plus the condition there in when found in the ground, still they will always have a face value ?1,is DM1.95583,found a few max planck 2marks and the rare 1951 2mark,all in bad condition, but I always ask my self where are all the silver 5mark coins, they where withdrawn in 1975,replaced with the nickel 5mark......mikek

Yep Mike, the Bundesbank tried to get as many as possible in, to get the silver content out of the market place and back into the Federal reserve.
I have a few of the older silver coins, but most were saved from the ground, including some from between the wars and during the last war.
Bit like most things nowadays, money is total crap. It used to read on an English pound note, the bank would pay the bearer on demand the sum of 1 pound in silver, but that?s long gone and and now we have coins, and they rust faster than euros I think (I?ll have to check next time I?m in the UK).
The governments are taking us for a ride, and we?re bending over and supplying the vaseline.
But I suppose that?s the nature of mankind, they like being sheperded, and react just like sheep generally, with a few wolves in between (Politicians)  !!  Sad

Good hunting for an hour. I still have lots of euros and british money from when I was traveling in Europe 5 years ago. I guess it is worth a little more than back then since the dollar is down.
