Man, if those old bullets could talk, they'd have some tales to tell wouldn't they--nice finds fellow! Some of them were dang sure mushroomed out from hitting something solid like a tree or a rock,etc. maybe even an unfortunate fellow?

Here are the buckles agian, they are 1812 and are in excellent condition, I dont know if they are ours or yours! as I have seen drawings of both sides with similar buckles ......Thanks for the interest ...HH   Johnnn

Also heres a pic of a U S A Shako cap badge. its also 1812 aqnd made of Pewter

1812 buckles are real cool finds-I've never found one but did find an early  plain faced militia plate probably from around 1830's era-----and unfortunately, I sold it later-wish I'd kept that thing. It was bent but nice anyhow. Detecting
