Heavy rains and damage to the gates upstream prompted county to close off the the flow so not to flood out the area and homes and park. They have no money to fix it so they closed it. good for me!

I totally agree, With the value axe. Sure it would be nice to find something super valuable, but the next question after whats it worth? is, " is it for sale ?" and with me its a echoing NO, I dont even spend the money I find lol. so really it's worth is priceless. Im not in this for the money it's all about the find, and I bet I'm not the only one here saw your other pics you been hard at it in that clay well done.

Got into the clay and silt at bottom of mud hill, used to be a favorite fishing spot. Dug the hill leading in and into the mud last few days, here are the recent finds.

Really nice finds. They are draining an area lake and repairing the gates so I am going to a couple of old homesites that I know about. Wish me luck. Have to move fast. The weather is nice now but supposed to be back inm the 20's in just two days.

Bring a probe to check for deep mud and covered aquifers, just be careful out there!
