Great finds, Art.  Do you think the nuggets had naturally occured at the site or were lost by some miner?  Maybe the nuggets and the ring were in a pouch that was lost and got deep by people moving around earth at the camp site.  Who knows.
Did you find the spot with some sort of dowsing or LRL equipment and then use a detector and gold pan for the fine work?
I'm not trying to be nosey but just interested in learning how one makes such an outstanding find.

The site is on the inside bend of a creek. The fire pit was almost buried. The ring was near the edge of it. That's the third wedding band that I have found in fire pits? The Gold was 6 foot behind a small bolder which would be downstream when the creek was at flood stage. The LRL located both spots. I checked the depth using dowsing methods. As is my practice I shovel into a container until the signal moves to it. I dumped 1 1/2 buckets before any gold showed up. I had almost 10 gallons of material before the hole showed no more gold. After screening and panning I brought home what you see and 2 1/2 gallons of material to be processed later. I wish every day was this good. I could have found this using only dowsing but the LRL makes it so much faster...Art
