found today( sun) in stubble roman fibula brooch intact with spring not bad for nearly 2000 years underground  Smiley

Nice find, When I first looked I thought it
was a left handed golf putter head.(golf on the brain)  lol.

hi malc ,, detecting on clubland  south of ashford nothing else came up that day so i guess i was lucky sure there's more to be found but need better detecting conditions ,, not found a complete brooch before so i was well pleased

Hi thorin your only about 35 miles from me im on the Isle of Sheppey. As you probably know not a lot of roman activity on the island. I have made a few roman finds over here but they are very few and far between.Found the roman at the bottom of the picture on a building site in Minster Sheppey.The only piece of roman to come off the site as well.Plenty of medieval though so i cant complain. Funny

that's about as good as lizzie coins get seeing as they were in circulation for so long , good to get any silver coins out the ground never ceases to amaze me how many got lost in the first place ,, good for us that they did eh ,, i wonder what the medieval was for bollocks ive just lost ?50
