Got out on Sat, new site, after researching it for days during the winter we found the most productive area was lost to quarrying.
Anyway never say never we made the best of the surounding area and had a nice day out.
Finds were sparce but interesting, found the follwing.
1). animal trap
2). one musket ball
3). an ornate piece of brass strap 18" long
4). a padlock dated 1894 on the hasp
5). 3 coins all 1940's
6). a boy scout whistle.

As usual, you still found some interesting and unusual stuff.   I especially liked the trap.   Any idea what the paddle like thing is next to the whistle?

Hi BA ...Karl,
That item is handle of a "tea spoon" it has makers marks but I am unable to get a good look at them due to corrosion, I also forgot to put the brass strap in the pix I will post that some other time I am interested to see if anyone can ID it.

Johnnn I think it's cool , I kinda prefer digging up old relics stuff like that than coins anyways , I think the old relics are more interesting, Now I am not saying I would throw any coins away !!  Grin  Grin  Grin Cause I def like digging them also, I just think the relics have more of a story to tell.
