Go Up Go Down

I watch with interest all you guys doing parks, so I found some greenery along the Niagara peninsular that looked like it would give up some goodies "I dont do parks!" anyway it was a great day for weather and I was "up" for the task ahead. As you may know I am a relic hunter but life is hard in the bush so I thought I would do something near a "Tim Hortons" where I can sneak out for a coffee now and again oh and a doughnut   or   two.
I couldn't beleive that the first thing I found was a fragment of 5" howizer hollow shot from 1812 followed by a piece of 12" mortor shell 1812, then the coins started coming 40 pennies three lonies five quarters seven nickles five dimes two were stuck together and both U S they were the only silver of the day but it was great to possess them I nicked the Roozvelt dime ...The Mercury dime is 1943  the other is  1948 as we are so close to the U S border a lot of the coins were U S.One item of interest was a 1939 medalion with Geo VI and the queen mum also 3 musket balls one is very obviously "chewed"
Also found a leg from a "pot belly" stove, much to my dismay I found a NY reg plate from a car buried about 10" down 1929 and in restorable condition it was or had been Yellow, not wanting to lug it around I placed it up in a tree for later recovery but forgot it, now I,m hoping no one will notice it so I can get it later........HH...Johnnn

:)Sounds like you should do more parks that was a nice haul. How much time did you spend there?
