Hey There Catbird.... Send me an e-mail and maybe we can get together for one of those school hunts.  Williston is not that far from me.  I have found a few good places to look.  I have not TH'd at Cedar Key, not too much of a beach there, but the dock fishing is pretty good.

If I don't hear from you, have a safe and Merry Christmas....

That goes for everyone else...

Sounds great!  I have not been to any schools in Williston, but know of a lot on 301 in Orange heights that belongs to a friend of mine.  I have wanted to hunt that too.  Have permission to hunt that.  Has been vacant for over 30 years.

Look forward to it.

Gotta love those school yards.  My favorite days to hit the schools are when its chilly outside and really windy!  The kids dont want to play outside when its windy, so I get the school yard all to myself. Smiley

Hi........Not much wind the other day, but the ground was getting hard in some areas "freezing"..
I've been on beaches when it was below freezing at night. On super low tides I'd take some 5 gallon buckets and just throw the dirt in them on the last scoop when the signal was gone. Later when the weather was warmer I'd wash the dirt in a sieve, found coins and rings like that.

Have a good hunt..........John in Va.....

Those school yard finds can pop up some very interesting finds. A detecting buddy of mine found a WWII navy silver ring during our last hunt.
