Thought I had a nice one at first glance. Came out of the scoop all nice and shiny. As you can see the sinkers were killing both myself and my friend Stan. Digging them knowing they're sinkers but just can't not dig em. Stan got a nice silver ring. Waiting for a pic of it. My go back tomorrow to drip some more snot.
Good luck and happy hunting.

Looks like you had a great day at the beach. Must have been pretty chilly though. Nice looking ring. Congrats.

Yes it was alittle nippy out there. I had my battery powered heated gloves and socks which helps some. Might go back there for today's lowtide.

Hi Mike,
It looks like you had a good day and the fact you got so many sinkers indicated you could of stumbled on an area that hasnt been thrashed. sure you got a got of targets and you have to remove all the crap before you find the goodies but keep at it.  Oh if you get some ammonia and put that ring in it for a while you will clean all the crud off the back of those stone.  You can also use an old toothbrush and a bit of fairy liquid soap to try to get into the tiny holes at the back of the ring to clean it too.  Keep up the good work.  Those sinkers might come in handy for making diving weights later thanks for sharing.   alan

lots of junk there - BUT - I'd rather have a pot load of that junk then sit on my butt regretting not being out with my MD and searching.  The beach is one of my favorite places to search - right after elementary school play grounds!

Hi Mike
Nice haul, I'm new to MD and am planning a weekend trip to R.I. beaches with my brother and brother-in-law we all got new MD's for Christmas and are itching to try them out. None of us have ever been MDing before, i was wondering  would  this be a typical day for you with all those sinkers, and i was wondering about the coins, were there any old ones?

John

John this beach has alot more sinkers than some of the other beaches we hunt. No old coins there.
Good Luck, Mike in NJ
